INJECTION MOLDING SETUP TECHNICIAN

Looking for a highly motivated individual to support the Mold Sampling Department. This person should be mechanically inclined and have a minimum of 3 years of Mold Set-up experience. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows.

 

  • Performs equipment set ups as directed including installing injection molds, handles set-up processes and ensures material handling and auxiliary equipment is functioning properly.

  • Works with Process Engineer as needed to troubleshoot, improve processes and perform FOT/FAT Engineering samples.

  • Works with Program Managers and Engineering department to support the development of Production “Turnkey” Manufacturing Cells.

  • Collects and enters data as needed to support documented procedures.

  • Supports production requirements for short runs and automated work cells.

  • Handles screw and barrel cleanings .

APPRENTICE:   MOLDMAKER / TOOLMAKER

Burteck is looking to invest in an individual’s training and their growth into a skilled Mold-Tool Maker, this individual would need to have some if not all the qualities listed.  

  

Looking for a Highly motivated person to learn mold making. This person should be able to work well with their hands and retain information while consistently improving in a fast-paced environment

.

  • Induvial should have a basic mechanical knowledge of how machines function and metal machining processes, as well as having the ability to work with other people.

  • Able to operate manual toolroom machinery, Bridgeport’s, lathes, surface grinders etc.

  • Ability to use inspection equipment, calipers, micrometers, indicators, depth gages, gage blocks etc.… Having your own tools is a plus.

  • Able to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and work instructions.

CNC PROGRAMMER / MACHINIST

​Looking for an experienced individual to set-up, program, and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines. This person should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC milling and NC programming. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:

​

  • Program toolpaths using best practices to ensure proper surface finish and tool life (CimatronE13 programming is a plus). This includes a strong understanding of feeds, speeds, chip load, step down and step over, depth of cut, toolpaths, etc.

  • Set-up and operate 5 - axis, 3-axis CNC machines (Mikron HSM500LP and Haas VF2 YT). This includes setting up the proper tooling and offsets, picking up the part, loading in and modifying programs.

  • Cut graphite electrodes and tool steel holding tolerances of .0002”.

  • Mount electrodes on EROWA holders and load into the WorkPartner 1+ Robot.

  • Final inspection of steel parts and electrode sizes and finishes using a CMM, dial indicators, depth gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Zeiss experience is a plus.

  • Plan machining using work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, 3D models, machine parameters, etc. Set up different cutter types in various tool holders (shrink fit, collet, etc.).

  • Plan and order material based on the project needs taking into account material type, grade, quantity, size

INJECTION MOLDMAKER / TOOLMAKER

Looking for a skilled Moldmaker / Toolmaker who’s able to build and repair complex molds. This person should have at least 5 years experience in the Moldmaking Industry. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Disassemble, debug, repair, and reassemble plastic injection molds using industry's best practices. Requires thorough knowledge of plastic injection molding, mold components and mechanisms, and strong mechanical inclination

  • Operate tool room machinery including manual surface grinders and Bridgeport milling machines

  • Use all inspection equipment including dial indicators, micrometers, depth gauges, gauge blocks, calipers, and shadowgraphs

  • Must be able to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, etc. 

  • Work to .0002" tolerance and understand tolerance stacking

  • Knowledge of CNC Milling and EDM is a plus

EDM SPECIALIST

Looking for a motivated individual to set-up, program and operate CNC EDM machines in a moldmaking environment. This person should have a minimum of 3 years of EDM experience. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Write programs and adjust machine settings as needed. Experience with AgieCharmilles FORM 20 is a plus

  • Knowledge of the EDM process including orbital patterns, discharge gaps, and material types

  • Work to .0002" tolerance

  • Surface grind electrodes

  • Familiarity with either EROWA or 3R systems

  • Inspect electrodes and finished products using indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.

INSPECTOR

​Looking for an individual to set-up, program, and operate wire CMM machines. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:

​

  • Set up and operate the wire CMM machines. Experience with Zeiss machines and Calypso software is a plus

  • Write programs using solid part models

  • Ability to inspect parts using dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and other manual inspection equipment

  • Strong working knowledge of CMM machines and metrology.

  • Keep proper maintenance of the machine and troubleshoot issues as needed

WIRE EDM SPECIALIST

​Looking for an experienced individual to set-up, program, and operate wire EDM machines. Job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:

​

  • Set up and operate the wire EDM machines. Experience with AgieCharmilles machines is a plus

  • Write programs from both 2D drawings and solid part models

  • Ability to hold .0002" tolerance and accurately inspect his/her own work

  • Strong working knowledge of the wire EDM process

  • Keep proper maintenance of the machine and troubleshoot issues as needed
